The BCAM exists to advance safe and ethical aesthetic medicine to the benefit of medical practitioners and members of the public. We represent aesthetic medical practitioners in a unified manner, maintain standards and practice ethics in aesthetic medicine.

The BCAM was originally founded in 2001 as the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors to encourage regulation within the industry and help to make aesthetic medicine safer and more ethical for the general public.

All members are General Medical Council (GMC) Registered with a licence to practice
All members must meet the BCAM criteria of application to use the initials MBCAM issued annually
Members attend regular educational and scientific meetings
Members can be revalidated through BCAM every 5 years.
Full membership entitles the inclusion of their clinics on the BCAM website.
Website Forum for member’s to discuss issues and comments.
Network with over 350 doctors.
A dedicated voluntary Board of Directors enhancing the BCAM with their experience and knowledge, helping to push forward innovative ideas and measures to protect its members and the public.
