China Shunde International Exposition for Household Electrical Appliances 2013 (Shunde Expo 2013), rescheduled to take place from August 23-25 starting in 2013 from its usual date in October. Shunde Expo 2013 will be held at Shunde Exhibition Center.

Shunde Expo, being the largest in China and in Asia, doubled up as a platform for the industry to pay homage to the top performing players with the attendance of around 300 key domestic kitchen and bathroom appliance agents and retailers at the second China Home Appliances Annual Marketing Conference, Summit and Dealers’ Meeting – a collaboration with Modern Household Appliances magazine.

The new dates of Shunde Expo sent a ripple of excitement through the industry. Although an earlier date means lesser preparation time for all the participants, organizers revealed the move is in response to the industry’s wishes to be more in sync with the production and sales cycle in China.

New products and marketing campaigns in China are typically launched during March (Spring season) and August (Autumn season) every year and are also the prime buying seasons for dealers, while May and October are the retail boom periods when most dealers prefer investing in marketing efforts targeted at the end consumer market instead of procurement.

It is estimated that the change of Shunde Expo will bring about an increase in the number of quality buyers, which will in turn draw more manufacturers to the show.
